Scott was born and raised in Powell, WY before moving to Billings, MT for college and later Salt Lake City, UT for graduate school. Scott attended Rocky Mountain College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science, then attended the University of Utah, where he earned a Master of Science in information systems. Following graduate school, he moved to Cody, WY.
He is currently employed by the City of Cody as Information Technology Manager and has experience working in both local government and higher education settings.
Scott is involved in a number of local nonprofit organizations, including NextGen Park County and the Cody Lions Club, in which both groups he currently serves as Vice President. He also serves on an Advisory Board at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and serves as Chairman of the Technology Master Plan Committee.
Scott is skilled in system administration, network administration, database administration, information security, and project management.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys fly fishing, playing tennis, and hiking with his dog, Sudo.
